division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer at our Kings Mountain, NC site! This is a full time, onsite, day shift role. The Quality Engineer will provide leadership and guidance working with cross functional teams in process improvement initiatives including preventive actions, corrective actions and process improvements. Lead and provide technical advice in analytical / statistical tools and methods, customer requirements and product / process quality planning. Supervise other personnel as assigned or required. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. ## What you'll do:- Acting as a liaison and quality representative for internal and external customers
- Performing on-site plant quality system evaluations and audits. Support Supplier Quality
- Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
- Define, specify and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Reports to upper management and customers on issues related to processes and products
- Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions and processes to ensure compliance with
TS 16949.
Others regulatory entities require quality engineering support such asISO 14001, OSHA
regulations, and all Federal, State, and Local laws as they apply to their areas of responsibility.- Determine containment and corrective action solutions using problem solving techniques. Conduct root cause analysis of product quality issues and reduce non-conformance costs and metrics.
- Maintain, control, and input instances of nonconforming work-in-process (WIP) material in the plant database (Scrap, Data Analysis, Corrective Action). Conduct machine and process capability studies
- Perform gauge MSA studies and coordinate improvements and purchasing gauges as required.
- Monitor, improve and maintain processes, layouts, and part prints. Ensures product prints changes are driven through the official approval channels.
- Obtain print deviations from divisional Product Engineering and coordinate deviations at plant level.
- Participate in the Quality budgets to acceptable performance levels.
- Maintain a constant search for identifiable and measurable cost reductions through scrap and failure analysis and technology applications.
- Develop and implement programs/projects that support the business plan of plant management. Assists in training new employees.
- Participate in capital planning, investigate equipment alternatives, prepare appropriation justifications, implement equipment, and evaluate results.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with aspects of manufacturing including: knowledge and operation of assembly processes, machine tools, gauging, MSA, SPC, APQP, Lean and Quality assurance systems (TS16949)
- Experience handling supplier quality ##
Skills:
- Ability to work in cross functional groups such as engineering, production, quality, tool design,
- Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications and requirements.
- Experience with capital projects.
- Introduce new technology in the form of new machines, processes, and control systems.
- Good working relationships with peers, supervisors, operators, and managers must be maintained in order to be effective.
- Participate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives.
- Ability to be certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt
