Job Description

Cataler North America, a Toyota affiliate, is dedicated to bringing the best in catalyst technology, production and customer service to the American marketplace. Located in the Lincoln County Industrial Park, Cataler produces catalysts for the automotive industry. We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer.
Hours for the position are:
M-F, 8a - 5p. Job duties included but not limited to: Executes the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for assigned customer(s). This involves direct communication and negotiation with the customer's counterpart. Participates in and supports APQP activities and meetings. Communicates directly with suppliers to control process and/or material changes. This management of change begins with the supplier and continues through Cataler, our catalyst canners and our end automotive customer. Communicates directly with suppliers to resolve Deviant Material issues. Reviews purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component. Devises sampling procedures, designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Documents data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures. Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management. Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards. Conducts internal audits as assigned. Supports and ensures compliance with quality, environmental and business continuity policies, procedures and international standards associated with such management systems
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from four year college-university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX Manufacturing software, Excel Spreadsheet, Word Processing and Power Point software.
