Job Description

Manufacturing Quality Engineer Salary:
$90,000-$100,000 Manufacturing in Statesville, NC Drive Quality Excellence in Manufacturing ProStaffing is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for an established manufacturer serving leading OEM customers. This position offers the opportunity to lead quality improvement initiatives, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and collaborate with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to improve product quality and manufacturing performance. What You'll Do In this role, you'll be responsible for improving quality performance while supporting new product launches and ongoing manufacturing operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Investigate customer and internal quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies. Lead corrective and preventive action activities while identifying sustainable solutions. Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Support customer quality requirements, including PPAP documentation and first article activities. Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, inspection methods, and process documentation. Assist with new product introductions and manufacturing transfers. Support IATF quality system requirements and internal audits. Partner with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers to improve product quality. Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through continuous improvement initiatives. Validate process capability and support ongoing process control activities. What You'll Bring Successful candidates should possess: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience. Three or more years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing. Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and structured root cause analysis (8D). Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Metal fabrication or metal forming Welding processes
