Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new college level Quality Engineering Intern position focused on learning and assisting the Lindsay, NE Quality department in monitoring quality metrics for our manufacturing facility and by working closely with our quality team within the plant. Key areas of focus will include reviewing internal corrective actions, supporting/leading quality audits, validation work and ensuring compliance with our internal quality processes/procedures. This internship offers a 7-3:30pm work shift and is located within our Lindsay, NE manufacturing facility. This opportunity also includes a full purview of the manufacturing intricacies of a global irrigation leader, a seasoned mentor to assist in your acclimation into the role/organization, 401k match, health insurance and more. Duties & Responsibilities Learn about Lindsay's products, procedures, personnel, production processes, philosophies, and strategies.
Assist and perform various department functions, including communicating and working with internal customers within the plant, coordination with corporate, Control of Nonconforming materials, and Corrective Actions.
Participate with improvement project teams, assist to create and update document procedures, analyses, attendance and documentation of meetings.
Assist with performing validations associated with new part introductions by utilizing Part Level Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Learn relevant computer software used in the department related to enterprise resource planning, demand analysis and sales & operations planning. Preferred Qualifications Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status working towards a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study
Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions to problems
Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop ideas and solutions
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
