$62,000-88,000 Quality Engineer What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities): Application of analytical tools to drive improvement in foam quality and continually achieve variation reduction. Perform internal scrap cost analysis and drive scrap cost reduction projects. Support Quality Technicians with addressing production issues and improvement opportunities via problem solving techniques. Participate in New product/process development, qualification, and establishment of "Safe Launch" Plans. Track, Report, and drive improvement in direct material suppliers to improve incoming quality performance. Performs product inspection and audits products and/or systems for conformance to standard. Performs weekly CTQ audit and reporting to drive continual improvement. Facilitate best practices benchmarking between TPVA, TPNM, TPIN and other facilities. Assists in problem investigation and resolution. Periodically support the laboratory including, performing laboratory tests, and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols while operating requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment. What You'll Need (Qualifications): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years directly related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Business acumen, will act as business partner to Operations Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Advanced knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Demonstrated experience in 5S, Lean and Six Sigma principles. Green Belt preferred, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment. Minitab or JMP experience preferred.
