To learn more, visit https://ir.bitdeer.com/ About the Role The Process Engineer (SMT) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production processes. In this role, you will focus on solving process-related challenges, driving line efficiency, and ensuring high product quality across the SMT assembly line.

Key Responsibilities Process Development:

Formulate and implement new SMT production processes to satisfy product design specifications and quality requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously analyze and optimize existing SMT processes to maximize efficiency, reduce line waste, and enhance yield.

Root Cause Analysis:

Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues encountered during SMT production, identifying root causes and executing corrective/preventive actions.

Process Control:

Conduct process capability studies ($C_{pk}$) and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques across assembly operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with R D, Equipment Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) and overall process stability.

Documentation & Standards:

Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices.

Training & Support:

Provide technical training, guidance, and day-to-day support to SMT production operators and technicians.

Industry Insights:

Stay current with industry best practices, emerging SMT technologies, and equipment advancements.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Process Engineer in an active SMT manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of core SMT processes, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and automated inspection (AOI/AXI).

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with a structured, data-driven approach.

Design Standards:

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Methodologies:

Experience with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:
