Sr. Data Engineer, Cell Quality & Field Reliability

What to Expect The Cell Quality Team is a specialized R&D group focused on ensuring reliability across incoming materials, production processes, and field performance of Li-ion cells. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining software systems and automation tools to support cell quality workflows, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration. The engineer will lead the development of scalable applications, APIs, and data pipelines that enable cell testing and failure analysis workflows. The ideal candidate will combine strong data engineering skills with a focus on automation, data systems, and cross-functional project leadership. This role directly enables the Cell Quality team's mission by delivering robust software tools that accelerate failure analysis, reduce field returns, and maximize the performance of Tesla's battery products.
