Job Description

The Associate Quality Engineer supports cross-functional teams by applying total quality methodologies related to raw material management, fabrication activities, training, and logistical support. This role monitors the quality of manufactured and purchased products and develops standards, processes, and controls to maintain or improve overall quality. The position utilizes
PPAP/APQP
methodologies and core quality tools to ensure compliance with organizational and customer requirements, analyzes and reports results, supports launch deliverables, and manages open issues to closure.
  • This role is located on-site in Clarence, NY. No relocation or sponsorship is offered.
Salary:
$70K - $80
K Key Responsibilities:
Execute
APQP/PPAP
activities and ensure effective application of Core Tools Monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of manufactured and purchased products Analyze quality data, report results, and track open issues to timely closure Support program launches, internal QMS activities, and customer audits, including preparation of quality deliverables and readiness assessments Review, maintain, and ensure adherence to Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) Conduct Product, Process, and Layered Audits Qualify first-piece production and conduct ongoing quality inspections per specifications Adhere to all safety and security procedures Requirements Bachelor degree (BS) in a technical field and a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in quality problem-solving Strong working knowledge of quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.) Automotive industry experience preferred Experience with formal problem-solving methodologies and quality improvement tools Proficiency working in computer-based environments, including business systems and Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with ISO and/or
IATF 16949

Yearly Performance Reviews Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
