You can help connect the unconnected, drive the future of automobiles, transform at-home entertainment, and ensure the delivery of lifesaving medicines. And so much more.  Come break through with us. Overview Corning is hiring a Reliability Scientist to support the operational and project work that keeps our reliability team running. About half the role is hands-on execution — organizing samples, preparing data, and producing technical reports that drive decisions. The other half is project work that grows over time based on team priorities and your strengths. It's a strong fit for someone who blends sharp organizational skills with technical curiosity and wants to build broad capability across reliability science. Primary Day-to-Day Responsibilities Organize and track samples, test requests, and technical documentation across multiple reliability workstreams Compile and analyze reliability data, and produce clear technical reports, summaries, and presentations Support sample preparation and readiness for reliability testing and analysis Manage follow-up actions, timelines, and open items across team priorities Contribute to reliability assessments, investigations, and project work — with scope expanding over time based on capability and team need Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in materials science, engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related technical field — or equivalent relevant experience Experience with data analysis, spreadsheets, and technical reporting or documentation Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent assignments Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage shifting priorities and bring structure to work that is not always fully defined Desired Qualifications Experience in a laboratory, engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment Exposure to reliability testing, failure analysis, or technical project support Familiarity with statistical or data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Excel) Experience coordinating cross-functional technical work or project follow-through This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $64,173.00 - $88,238.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. A job that shapes a life. Corning offers you the total package. Your well-being is our priority. Our compensation and benefits package supports your health and wellness, financial aspirations, and career from day one. Company-wide bonuses and long-term incentives align with key business results and ensure you are rewarded when the company performs well. When Corning wins, we all win. As part of our commitment to your financial well-being, we provide a 100% company-paid pension benefit with fixed contributions that grow throughout your career. Combined with matching contributions to your 401(k) savings plan, Corning's total contributions to your retirement accounts can reach between 7% and 12% of your pay, depending on your age and years of service. Our health and well-being benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid parental leave, family building support, fitness, company-paid life insurance, disability, disease management programs, paid time off, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support you and your family.
