Job Description

We are seeking a Visual Inspection Engineer for a 12-month contract position in Rensselaer, New York. This role focuses on automated vision inspection systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, offering hands-on technical expertise and independent problem-solving. Responsibilities Tune and optimize camera-based inspection equipment in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations Troubleshoot vision systems and reduce false positives and reject rates on automated inspection equipment Support process validation, qualification, and GMP-regulated manufacturing operations Create and execute lifecycle documentation (SLC) and engineering documentation Operate independently while maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams Support new equipment start-ups and qualification activities as needed Qualifications Required 7+ years of experience working with automated vision inspection systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Hands-on experience tuning and optimizing camera-based inspection equipment Experience with Seidenader, CoBER/CorBER, SVI, or similar automated vision systems Strong background supporting process validation, qualification, and GMP-regulated manufacturing operations Experience creating and executing lifecycle documentation (SLC) and engineering documentation Ability to troubleshoot vision systems and reduce false positives/reject rates on automated inspection equipment Strong communication skills and ability to operate independently Preferred Principal or Staff-level engineering expertise Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience supporting new equipment start-ups and qualification activities Science or Engineering degree Background in project engineering within pharmaceutical manufacturing
