About Our Client AT3 is partnered with a well-established manufacturer of robotic automation systems designed to improve efficiency in industrial environments. Their solutions support a wide range of applications-from automating individual CNC machines to optimizing complex, multi-step production lines. With a long-standing presence in the machine tool industry and a strong track record of successful installations across the U.S., this company is known for delivering practical, customized automation solutions that help manufacturers increase productivity, reduce manual labor, and maintain consistent quality. Position Overview The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and overall quality of engineered automation systems. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with established quality standards and systems. Key Responsibilities Verify mechanical engineering designs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness Develop, review, and implement engineering and quality checklists to ensure adherence to standards Investigate quality issues and partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve quality concerns in a timely and effective manner Analyze customer-reported issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans using root cause analysis methodologies Support and participate in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities as required Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards Create and refine design, debug, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) checklists to improve product quality and reduce rework Participate in design reviews, providing feedback on quality, reliability, and risk Support internal and external FAT processes to ensure systems meet customer specifications prior to shipment Conduct risk assessments for automated robotic cells to ensure compliance with safety standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related quality discipline Minimum of 3 years of experience in a product quality role within a manufacturing environment Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems Familiarity with PPAP and other core quality tools (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA) Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in root cause analysis methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Experience Experience in industrial safety standards and/or OSHA compliance Background in automation, robotics, or machine tool environments
