Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will support the Department QPL by focusing on the quality aspects of the plan related to SAP, OQ Flow, HAB, and MMC Q. You will coordinate new model quality activities, including weekend and shutdown projects, and track their progress. Your role will involve analyzing and addressing gaps to target, assisting with MQS negotiations, and collaborating with Product Design to prevent manufacturing issues. Additionally, you will support onsite trial builds and execute successful build events while contributing to quality improvements and innovations. Responsibilities Coordinate and track new model quality activities, especially during weekends and shutdowns. Analyze and address gaps to target within the department. Assist with MQS negotiations through drawing reviews and countermeasure proposals. Collaborate with Product Design to prevent manufacturing issues. Support MMC with the Quality Manufacturing Plan for onsite trial builds and verification activities. Ensure successful execution of onsite build events, aligning schedules, parts, and associates. Contribute to previous model reflections, new technology initiatives, and department improvements. Develop Power BI and Polyworks reports for white body analysis. Assist with manufacturing data collection, equipment verification, and layout confirmation. Maintain regular communication with other facilities. Essential Skills Automotive quality and plant floor background. Effective communication with plant personnel and engineering teams. Strong quality skills in principles and documentation. Proficient computer skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Power BI and CMM. Work Environment The work environment includes both manufacturing and office settings. You will engage with plant personnel and engineering teams, requiring effective communication and collaboration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
