The ideal candidate possesses metrology experience, strong familiarity with quality assurance standards, the capability to build automated calibration procedures, and willingness to learn.

Essential Functions:
Workload Triage & Scheduling:

Manage daily workload assignment, triage incoming equipment to identify in-house capabilities versus required 3rd-party services, and ensure 100% on-time completion prior to calibration expiration dates.

On-Site & Production-Floor Support:

Coordinate field and on-the-floor calibrations at manufacturing facilities, serving as a primary technical contact and ensuring adherence to strict regulatory and customer standards (e.g., FDA/ISO standards).

Quality Assurance & Certificate Review:

Perform thorough QA reviews of calibration data, datasheets, and final certificates generated in-house or by 3rd-party vendors to guarantee technical accuracy and compliance.

Process Optimization & Automation:

Identify opportunities to reduce costs with vendors; author and update automated calibration procedures (e.g., Fluke MET/CAL®).

Customer Interaction:

Communicate directly with customers to address technical inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and build strong professional relationships.

Qualifications:
Quality & Technical Standards:

Demonstrated experience with quality documentation review, traceability principles, and ISO/IEC 17025 or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.

Calibration Software Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with calibration management systems and procedure-building software (e.g., MET/CAL®).

Software Tools:

Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, for data logging and analytical reporting.

Time Management:

Excellent organizational skills with a strong track record of preventing overdue calibrations.

Adaptability:

Fast learner capable of picking up new instrumentation and software in high-throughput or fast-paced laboratory environments.

Communication:

Clear verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers, quality management, and internal production teams. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Must be a United States Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Prolonged standing. Capable of performing manual labor. Must be able to move from lab to lab and inside the lab that you are located in.
