Job Description

Quality Engineer Deceuninck North America is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Monroe, OH facility. This is a highly analytical role that is responsible for the constant review of manufacturing processes to identify quality Improvement opportunities that will result in increased efficiency, cost savings, scrap reduction and Customer satisfaction through measurable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This position will also require the use of advanced Six-Sigma tools (DMAIC), 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA, Capability studies etc... as the foundation for each of the projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Work with management to identify new quality improvement opportunities. Communicate with customers on quality issues and identify solutions Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance. Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements. Works collaboratively with operations team to foster a quality culture, identify improvement opportunities and utilize LSS tools to define root cause and corrective actions. Co-ordinate the implementation, monitoring and review of quality training records Assist with ongoing development and implementation of effective quality management systems, policies and procedure Ability to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing plant; plastic extrusions highly desired 3-5 years of experience successfully managing quality improvement projects Proficient knowledge of Six Sigma and standardized lean techniques and concepts (Green Belt Required (or be willing to get certified), Black Belt Preferred) Must be able to work effectively both independently and within a team Must have a passion for customer commitment for both Internal and external customers Must be a self-starter and deadline oriented Must have excellent Communication, Presentation, and leadership skills Must have excellent project management skills Previous experience writing SOPs Proficient in MS programs, particularly Excel and PPT, smartsheet (plus) Experience with SAP or other ERP systems a plus Experience with analysis and interpretation of data gathered from Manufacturing execution systems (MES) Comfortable with public speaking, developing training visuals Statistical analysis experience (Minitab)
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or similar Sponsorship is not available for this position
