Job Description

Position Overview Pentaflex is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to manage our internal auditing program and lead technical quality processes. In this role, you will ensure full compliance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
standards, operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software, navigate our Plex ERP/QMS platform, and assist our lead quality engineer with our production part approval process (PPAP) writing. Core Responsibilities Lead regular ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949
internal audits, including managing the Layered Process Audit (LPA) system. Knowledge of how to compile, and submit comprehensive PPAP packages for production approval. Utilize Plex software to track quality metrics, manage documentation, audit control, and log compliance data. Run and operate CMM equipment to verify part dimensions utilizing existing PC-DMIS programs. Manage supplier control activities, assist our materials manager by evaluating performance and issuing/tracking supplier corrective actions. Interpret and adhere to various Customer-Specific Requirements (CSRs). Coordinate our CSR compliance system Lead the companies APQP system Conduct detailed dimensional inspections on stamped steel parts using precision hand tools. Drive root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions for non-conformances. Also utilize root-cause analysis to develop scrap trend control Key Requirements Proven experience conducting formal internal audits and leading LPAs under
IATF/ISO
frameworks. Assist the Director of Quality during the annual IATF audit Strong background in supplier control, qualification, and monitoring processes. Strong proficiency in PPAP creation using Automotive Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Hands-on experience using and operating a CMM running PC-DMIS (programming skills not required). Daily working familiarity with Plex or equivalent manufacturing ERP/QMS software. Expert ability to read blueprints and interpret complex GD&T symbols. Experience reviewing and implementing diverse Customer-Specific Requirements. Experience preferred in steel stamping, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Degree in Engineering, a technical field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
