Validation Lead

JOB SUMMARY

This role involves working with customers to prevent escalations, coordinating effectively with the team, conducting technical interviews, performing validation and root cause analysis, and managing project deliverables with quality and within timelines. The role also requires estimating time, effort, and resource needs, creating documentation, reporting status, and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Work with customer to ensure no escalations.
• Coordinate with the team.
• Conduct technical interviews for project requirements.
• Perform validation and root cause analysis.
• Perform escape analysis.
• Isolate/packetize failures to the correct component.
• Attend customer meetings and communicate requirements/results effectively.
• Locate product failures and report them in the test repository and bug tracker.
• Individually learn technology, business domain, and system domain as recommended.
• Ensure product and validation comply with defined SLA.
• Perform defect triaging.
• Adhere to schedule and timelines.
• Manage task deliverables with quality and targeting completion timeframe.
• Estimate time, effort, and resource dependence for own work and others' work.
• Create component level/product behavior documents.
• Create test reporting templates, BKMs, and knowledge sharing documents for the team.
• Report status of assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with validation standards and process.
• Mentor senior validation engineers by providing on-the-job facilitation.
• Host classroom training sessions for junior validation engineers. Required Qualifications
• Good presentation skills and diplomacy.
• Good bug advocacy skills.
• Automation scripting skills.
• Ability to perform severity and priority identification of sightings raised.
• Ability to estimate effort and time required for own work and for junior engineers.
• Ability to perform and evaluate tests in the customer or target environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability to understand the product lifecycle and deadlines.
