Role Description This full-time, on-site Reliability & Project Engineer role is based at Hussey Copper's facility in Leetsdale, PA. The Reliability & Project Engineer will lead and support capital and improvement projects from concept through implementation, including scoping, technical evaluation, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role will analyze equipment performance, identify reliability issues, and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve uptime, safety, and product quality. The engineer will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to specify and install new equipment, optimize existing assets, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Daily tasks include preparing technical documentation, monitoring project progress, managing contractors, and communicating project status and risks to leadership. Qualifications Strong Project Engineering and Project Planning skills, including experience leading industrial or manufacturing projects from design through commissioning. Proficiency in Project Management, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and coordination of cross-functional teams and contractors. Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment specifications, and control systems documentation. Effective Communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information, collaborate with diverse teams, and present updates to stakeholders. Experience with reliability engineering concepts such as root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly beneficial. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in metals, heavy manufacturing, or process industries is preferred, along with familiarity with safety and environmental regulations. Proven ability to work on-site in a production environment, prioritize multiple projects, and drive results with a strong focus on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
