Job Description Duties & Responsibilities Lead and execute quality audits across the supply chain to ensure compliance with company standards, food safety requirements, legal regulations, and customer specifications. Partner with customers, clients, and internal stakeholders to identify product issues and implement effective resolutions. Prepare for and lead all third‑party food safety audits, ensuring readiness and full compliance. Obtain and maintain HACCP certification (required if not already certified). Conduct or assist with root‑cause, performance, and failure analyses on defective materials or products; recommend and implement corrective actions. Provide quality engineering support for in‑process and final acceptance activities. Plan, manage, and execute capital projects through successful completion. Offer technical and administrative guidance to both direct and indirect team members. Develop and maintain systems for tracking projects, reporting results, and measuring the effectiveness of quality initiatives. Draft, update, and maintain product assurance policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure standards and specifications are met. Recommend and implement improvements to quality standards, repair processes, process controls, and inspection methods. Analyze, review, and approve manufacturing engineering policies, documentation, and operations. Lead strategies to enhance product quality, process capability, and customization. Direct data collection, analysis, and research to support continuous improvement and quality programs. Provide operational technical support for injection‑molding processes and resolve manufacturing challenges. Lead process‑improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap and improving efficiency. Develop and implement OEE and Quality improvement plans in partnership with plant operations teams; act as a central conduit for data and communication related to productivity and quality initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a Business or Technical discipline preferred. 5-7 years of experience in quality management or process engineering within a manufacturing environment. ASQ certification (Quality Engineer, Quality Professional, or Statistical Applications) strongly preferred. Experience with BRC, GFSI, or AIB certifications and audits required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with statistical software and familiarity with programming concepts. Strong foundation in statistical methods, process‑improvement tools, and analytical techniques. Knowledge of manufacturing laboratory practices and testing procedures. Commitment to ongoing professional development, including at least one seminar or course every two years. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including off‑shift support and some weekends as needed. Preferred Skills Self‑starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage conflict, and drive outcomes in complex business environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels. Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
