Job Description
A leading engineering and technology organization is seeking a hands-on WiFi Test Engineer to help validate and optimize next-gen wireless networking solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with WLAN technologies, building test environments, analyzing network behavior, and partnering with development teams to deliver high-performance, reliable connectivity.
You will play a critical role in validating cutting-edge Wi-Fi products across real-world deployment scenarios, helping ensure industry-leading wireless performance, stability, and user experience.
What You'll DoDevelop and execute Wi-Fi test plans covering functionality, performance, scalability, and reliabilityValidate WLAN implementations across 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standardsVerify Wi-Fi security features including WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X authenticationEvaluate mesh networking, roaming, band steering, and extender functionalityBuild and maintain wireless test labs and validation environmentsPerform throughput, latency, congestion, and stress testingCapture and analyze wireless traffic using packet analyzers and protocol analysis toolsInvestigate failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolutionsDocument test results, defects, and performance findingsRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience testing wireless networking productsDeep knowledge of WLAN protocols and Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be)Experience validating Wi-Fi security implementations including WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1XFamiliarity with mesh networking, roaming, steering, and extender technologiesExperience performing performance, throughput, stability, and stress testingStrong packet capture and protocol analysis skillsWorking knowledge of Linux environmentsBasic scripting or programming experienceExperience using wireless test equipment such as Ixia, spectrum analyzers, attenuators, or similar toolsPreferred BackgroundExperience testing enterprise-grade Wi-Fi infrastructure or broadband networking solutionsExperience with large-scale wireless deploymentsStrong troubleshooting and analytical capabilitiesAbility to work effectively with software, firmware, and systems engineering teamsBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, & prescription plansDependant FSAPTO, Holidays, & Sick LeaveEmployee Assistance ProgramCompetitive 401(k) match with Safe Harbor PlanEmployee Recognition ProgramsExclusive one-stop online discount marketplace
