We warmly welcome individuals of similar mindset to join our ranks. What You'll Be Doing The Quality Engineer provides assistance with the Quality Department and related tasks. This role actively participates in overseeing products and processes to ensure they meet standards, including creating quality control systems, inspecting and testing products, analyzing data, and troubleshooting issues. What Your Day to Day Is Implementing overall quality inspection strategy Utilizing a Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM) and PC DMIS (Dimensional Measurement Interface Standard) to inspect products Monitoring, testing and inspecting products to assure they meet specified standards Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations Designing or improving systems by which production quality can be checked in an ongoing process Leading or explaining applicable electrical and mechanical inspection Leading quality assurance meetings and communicating quality metrics Conducting or overseeing receipt inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection Establishing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence Issuing, resolving, and reviewing corrective and preventive actions Conducting root cause analysis Deploying problem-solving skills in advancing process improvement Determining quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes Creating and maintaining quality documentation and training staff on proper quality control procedures Learning and maintaining excellent knowledge of applicable CRL online systems Collaborating with various teams to improve efficiency and reliability and ensure compliance with regulations Other duties as assigned What You'll Have Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience Comfort with process flow maps and control plans Experience with quality auditing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Positive interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced work environment Intermediate-level electrical and mechanical troubleshooting How You'll Stand Out Familiarity with the 5 Whys technique Experience with New Product Introduction/Integration Experience with performing FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and Gage R&R Experience developing sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods Experience hosting customer and regulatory reviews of quality operations Experience and interest in mentoring earlier-career engineers and technicians What You'll Get Out Of It UPMC health coverage with FSA or HSA options Comprehensive dental, vision, and life insurance Fidelity 401(k) plan with employer match Free catered lunch every day with a vegan option 31 Days of PTO (including holiday) Comp time for company travel Carnegie Robotics is an Equal Opportunity Employer that welcomes applications from all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable laws and Carnegie Robotics' employment policies.
