Job Description
Company Overview Allegheny Coatings has been a leader in metal protection application for nearly forty years. With a strong focus on expanding processes, coating and plating services, and customer segments, the company is dedicated to growth and innovation. Overview The Quality Engineering Coordinator is responsible for successful implementation and maintenance of process and material controls and other assigned duties at Allegheny Coatings Ridgway operations. Responsibilities 1) Work with the Quality Manager to maintain the material and process control parameters in the Production Database. Maintain existing material testing parameters such as viscosity, specific gravity, and others Setup material testing parameters for new material. Maintain existing process control parameters such as basket weight, process rate, process time and others. Setup process control parameters for new processes and/or products. Develop and maintain testing procedures for various chemicals and material used in the production processes. Capture and maintain oven profile data for various equipment and materials. Perform process capability studies to establish process control parameters for new processes. 2) Work with the Quality Manager to resolve customer and internal quality issues and concerns. Assist with implementation corrective and preventative actions. Assist with performing root cause analysis. Generate certificate of compliance and test reports as required by customers in the absence of the Quality Manager. Conduct testing on prototypes, first articles and trial runs 3) Assist the Quality Manager with maintaining the Quality Management System. Conduct internal audits and assist with the management of internal audits. Act as the primary contact for the document control process. Assist with the preparation monthly quality reports (rework, cost of quality, on-time, customer satisfaction and all other quality performance data)4) 4) Assist with the operation of the

salt cabinet and sample testing 5) Assist with the Production Part Approval Process and other customer qualification requests. 6) Maintain daily quality assurance on all product being processed on the production floor through visual quality standards and testing 7) Act in the absence of the Quality Manager. 8) Additional responsibilities assigned by the Quality Manager. Requirements BS in engineering, quality, or relevant discipline 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient in MS Office Suite Preferred Attributes Experience withISO 9001
