Description Location:
Falconer, NY Effectively support overall plant quality system as well as work with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. Analyze problems and provide solutions internally and to our external customers.
Responsibilities:
Creation of quality documents and development of standard operating procedures for manufacturing. Maintain and revise QS procedures and instructions as necessary to assure ISO 9001 and AS9100 registration. Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements Work closely with staff to ensure quality protocols, implement any new changes. Complete and submit first article inspection docs Investigate non-conformances and assist manufacturing and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality function within manufacturing environment. Combination of engineering, inspection and document control. Preferred bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, industrial engineering or similar engineering disipline. Knowledge in
ISO 9001
2015 and
AS 9100D
Statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability and process capability. Experience in metal cutting Dimensional inspection tools Computer skills MS office, Minitab, PC-DMIS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modules. Excellent communication skills Detail oriented and multitask Time management Logical troubleshooting PFMEA/ Control plans/ PFD Six Sigma experience and or ASCQE Background in defense, aerospace or automotive industry.
