Job Description The key responsibilities the Quality Assurance Lead are: Lead and coordinate daily inspection activities for machined components and electromechanical assemblies. Supervise and mentor quality inspectors, providing technical guidance and support. Ensure the timely completion of first article, in-process, and final inspections. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Develop, modify, and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS. Serve as the subject matter expert for Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection methodologies. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns and maintain production schedules. Manage nonconforming material processes, including documentation, investigation, and disposition activities. Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives. Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and process capability. Assist in planning inspection strategies for new products, tooling, and manufacturing processes. The Successful Applicant The successful Quality Assurance Lead will have the following: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of quality assurance experience within a machine shop, precision machining, or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or leading inspection personnel. Extensive knowledge and application of GD&T. Strong experience with CMM programming, ideally using PC-DMIS. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. Experience performing dimensional inspections of precision-machined components. Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
