Job Description
Quality/ Reliability Engineer Please note that this is an onsite role. Description Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc. Manage and direct statistical process control activities Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently Establish tolerance limits and facilitate appropriate corrective actions Establish and monitor quality target levels for each build Provide input for design and assembly concepts which will yield nominal variations Establish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methods Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Department, Production and Suppliers Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. Skills Quality Engineering, Statistical Process Control, Quality Assessment, Manufacturing Process Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of five years of manufacturing or quality experience Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision Ability to lead cross-functional groups to resolve concerns Strong written and oral communication skills: you will be speaking or presenting to Ford leadership or representing Ford while engaging with 3rd party suppliers High level of analytical and statistical skills to trend quality data and take appropriate actions Ability to positively influence change Ability to handle complex issues and multi-tasking Strong organizational skills Proficiency in using Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of the concepts and principles surrounding Business Objects, SharePoint, and other Ford-specific software. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sterling Heights, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $46.53/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
