Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems for over 70 years, and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space, tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Quality Engineer to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program life cycle, supporting our factory located in Goleta, CA. What You Will Do Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT) Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation Ensure Quality Engineering engagement in program development, design, test requirements and verification, including the transition of design to production Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D, Six Sigma, Lean practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resources Manage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAI's) Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics Maintain positive relationships with program administration, cross-functional program stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government representatives. Qualification You Must Have Requires bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Experience using quality inspection methodology Experience using MS Office tools (excel, word) The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. •Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects. Qualifications We Prefer Preferred majors in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering Working experience with Quality Management Systems such as:IS0 9001, AS9100.
Infrared industry, semiconductor processing or DoD industry experience. Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems, and resources. Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g., Minitab). Experience with factory systems and software (e.g., SAP, Windchill). Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
