- Global Reliability & Maintenance Leader - CTD (REMOTE)

- Division/Site Specific Information
- Role is fully remote and can be based in the Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Illinois remote areas and reports to the Clinical Trials Division (CTD).

- The Global Reliability & Maintenance Leader provides functional leadership for Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Excellence, and Asset Management across the CTD global network.
- A Day in the
Life:
- Reliability & Maintenance Strategy
- + •Serve as CTD's global functional leader for Reliability and Maintenance Excellence•, establishing the strategy, standards, governance, and multi-year roadmap for asset reliability and maintenance across the global network.
- Lead deployment and continuous maturation of the PSG Maintenance Excellence framework across CTD
- , including site assessments, asset criticality, maintenance strategies, PM optimization, planning/scheduling, and reliability practices. +
- Partner with Regional Engineering Directors and site leadership to assess maintenance maturity
- , identify performance gaps and risks, and develop prioritized improvement roadmaps appropriate to site complexity and business needs. +
- Drive a reliability-centered culture across CTD
- , shifting the organization from reactive maintenance toward proactive, preventive, predictive, and condition-based asset management.
- Asset Reliability & Lifecycle Management
- + •Establish standardized asset reliability and lifecycle-management practices•including asset criticality, failure-mode analysis, preventive maintenance optimization, predictive maintenance, and equipment end-of-life planning.
- Develop CTD's predictive and condition-based maintenance strategy
- , evaluating technologies such as vibration monitoring, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and other condition-monitoring solutions and defining scalable use cases. +
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to reduce critical asset risk
- , using reliability data, root-cause analysis, failure trends, and lifecycle information to prioritize corrective actions and capital investments. +
- Integrate reliability and maintenance requirements into site master planning and capital planning
- , ensuring asset condition, obsolescence, maintainability, and lifecycle cost inform long-term investment decisions.
- Maintenance Systems, Data & Performance
- + •Establish the CTD strategy and governance for CMMS and maintenance data•, including asset hierarchy, work management, preventive maintenance, spare parts, failure coding, and data-quality expectations.
- Lead standardization and optimization of Maximo/CMMS capabilities across CTD
- , partnering with sites and enterprise functions to enable consistent maintenance processes and reliable performance data. +
- Define a global Maintenance & Reliability KPI framework
- , including measures for equipment downtime, PM effectiveness, schedule compliance, asset reliability, maintenance cost, and other indicators of program maturity and performance. +
- Use network performance data and benchmarking to identify systemic opportunities
- , prioritize improvement initiatives, share best practices, and measure progress against the CTD Maintenance Excellence roadmap.
- Maintenance Excellence & Capability Building
- + •Establish global standards for maintenance planning, shutdowns/turnarounds, spare-parts management, and critical equipment maintenance•, enabling consistent execution across CTD sites.
- Build site and regional reliability capability
- through assessment tools, training, coaching, communities of practice, standard work, and sharing of lessons learned and best practices. +
- Lead cross-functional reliability improvement initiatives
- with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and site leadership to improve uptime, reduce lifecycle cost, and mitigate operational risk. +
- Provide expert consultation and escalation support
- for significant equipment failures, systemic reliability issues, complex root-cause investigations, and major asset-management decisions.

Success:
- Education
- + Requires a Bachelor's Degree, and advance degree is highly preferred.
Preferred Fields of Study:
Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or related technical discipline, or Business Administration. +Preferred:
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) - ASQ, Six Sigma or Lean certification.- Experience
- + 10 years of progressive experience in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance, Asset Management, Engineering, or Operations within manufacturing or another highly regulated environment. + Experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medical device). + Demonstrated experience developing and deploying Maintenance & Reliability programs across multiple sites or business units.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- + Strong business acumen with ability to analyze performance metrics and drive operational improvements + Excellent communication and presentation skills in English + Proficiency with business systems (MS Office, CMMS such as Maximo, SAP, Blue Mountain, or similar platforms) + Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across multiple sites and functions + Ability to travel 30-50% globally + Valid passport required for international travel + Strong expertise in RCM, asset criticality, PM optimization, predictive/condition-based maintenance, CMMS, spare-parts management, root-cause analysis, and asset lifecycle management.

- The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $130,000.
