Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Validation Specialist to join our healthcare compliance team. In this vital role, you will ensure that Labratory systems and processes meet stringent regulatory standards, support quality assurance initiatives, and uphold the highest levels of healthcare compliance. Your expertise will help optimize Labratory operations through rigorous validation and continuous process improvement.
Basic Purpose:
Validation Testing is a process that provides objective evidence that a new or modified laboratory test is accurately validated, and it ensures the results are transmitted back to client's interface successfully. Validation demonstrates that on a test patient that it performs accurately and reliably that includes reference ranges, units of measurements, source, and all pertaining to that individual test codes while ensuring that the results are trustworthy for patient diagnosis and treatment. The Connectivity Validation Testing analyst will provide first level technical support for Quest Diagnostics external and internal clients and all other clients to perform validation testing in various LIS - Lab Systems. The Validation Testing analyst will review and complete validation testing requests through a ticket process in the SNOW application. The analyst is accountable for meeting individual and team Key Performing Indicators as well as handling high-severity requests within established timeframes.
Validation Requirements:
o Ability to Thrive in a High-Demand Environment. o You must be able to work efficiently and manage tasks under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment. o Results Entry Experience Preferred. o A background in entering results or related technical skills is preferred. o Self-Starter with Problem-Solving Skills. o Must demonstrate the ability to think creatively and independently with minimal need for micromanagement. o We must consistently meet the team requirement of closing a minimum of 125 tickets per month. o Strong Organizational Skills. o Must possess excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. o Effective Communication Skills. o Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, sales representatives, management, and Tier 2 support. Responsibilities/Accountabilities o Review and complete validation of testing requests with < 3 days and 5 days TAT. o Ensure all validation activities adhere to established security policies, compliance standards, and support procedures. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and execute referral testing to meet team's goals. o Maintain clear and consistent communication by updating tickets and daily documentation. o Identify and escalate issues or risks encountered during the validation process, especially on Hospital, VIP clients that are priority.
Qualifications / Education
o Understanding of PHI/PII and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security. o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills (both written and verbal). o 2-3 years of strong customer service and technical support experience, with proven ability to resolve issues efficiently. o Associate degree (AA) in a computer-related field (desired but not required) o Strong ability to troubleshoot complex problems and deliver efficient, effective solutions under minimal supervision. o Entering results for test codes. o 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting. Special requirements . o Ability to work Overtime when required. o Consistently complete all assigned tickets with minimal supervision. o Strong critical thinking skills applied to resolve issues efficiently.
