Pay Range:
$86.14hr•$131.08hr The Product Security Operations Engineer will lead security operations initiatives focused on third-party library management, supply chain security, and remediation strategies across multiple product lines. The role involves coordinating cross-functional security efforts, translating security policies into actionable requirements, and driving large-scale security improvement initiatives within complex development environments.
Requirement/Must Have:
5+ years of experience in Security Operations, DevSecOps, or Product Security. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Experience managing and reducing security debt in complex environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to translate security policies into practical technical requirements. Strong organizational and initiative management skills. Experience working across engineering, product management, and DevOps teams.
Experience:
Experience managing third-party libraries, dependency upgrades, and security patching activities. Experience supporting supply chain security and remediation programs. Experience leveraging SBOM and asset intelligence for risk identification and tracking. Experience managing security initiatives with milestone tracking and conflict resolution. Experience working in distributed or global engineering environments preferred.
Responsibilities:
Lead management of external dependencies and third-party library security upgrades. Drive remediation and patching strategies across multiple product lines. Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and DevOps teams to align security priorities with release roadmaps. Translate security policies into actionable technical guidance and product requirements. Utilize SBOM and asset intelligence data to identify supply chain security risks. Track remediation progress and provide reporting updates to leadership teams. Drive security projects with clear ownership, milestone tracking, and issue resolution. Support operational visibility and governance for product security initiatives.
Should Have:
Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Go. Familiarity with SBOM, VEX, and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools. Experience automating vulnerability tracking and dependency management. Background in Technical Program Management or Engineering Management preferred. Experience managing cross-functional dependencies in large-scale organizations.
