Senior Reliability Engineer Franklin Park, IL $100K-$125K Permanent About the
Role:
The company are the world's leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems since 1906, they are looking for a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join their team at their Franklin Park, IL headquarters. This role is central to how they design, test, and validate the durability of the water-efficient products used in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings worldwide — from flush valves to electronic faucets. You'll report directly to the Reliability Manager and own the reliability strategy for new and existing products: designing tests, analyzing failure data, and driving root-cause investigations that keep our products performing for the long haul. You'll also play a key role in supporting our
ISO/IAPMO
lab certification efforts. If you enjoy solving hard technical problems, working hands-on with test data, and having a direct hand in product quality that ships at scale, this is a great next step. What You'll Do Design and run accelerated life tests to evaluate product durability while staying within safe operating limits Build and maintain Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes for new and existing product lines Plan and execute tests that identify potential production and safety risks before they become field issues Lead root-cause investigations on asset and product failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Support
ISO/IAPMO
certification efforts across our reliability testing labs Partner cross-functionally with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate failure data into actionable improvements
What You Bring:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related reliability discipline preferred 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and data analysis tools Advanced experience with engineering applications and enterprise reporting tools Strong organizational skills — able to plan, prioritize, and manage both individual and team workloads Sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information Nice to
Have:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment ISO certification experience (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or similar) Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Quality Engineer credential Basic plumbing systems knowledge
