Position Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the manufacturing of safety-critical products and ensure compliance with customer, quality, and defense-related requirements. This position will focus heavily on quality documentation, inspections, traceability, contract requirements, and maintaining compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review customer contracts, purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Review incoming materials, certifications, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, test procedures, test reports, and customer data packages.
  • Support incoming inspections and Government/Source Inspection activities.
  • Maintain material traceability, configuration control, and accurate quality records.
  • Support nonconformance reports (NCRs), MRB activities, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding certifications, documentation, and quality concerns.
  • Ensure products and documentation meet applicable NAVSEA, Level 1/SUBSAFE, and internal quality requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or quality engineering experience.
  • Experience within regulated, high-reliability, or defense manufacturing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of
ISO 9001

2015 and quality management systems.

  • Experience with incoming inspection, supplier certifications, traceability, and controlled documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical requirements, and basic GD&T.
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA requirements, Level 1 programs, or Government Source Inspection is highly preferred.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and technical communication skills.
