ENTRY-LEVEL RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Location:
Columbia, South Carolina Pay:
$35-$45 per hour
Schedule:
Full-Time, On-Site We are hiring an Entry-Level Reliability Engineer to support equipment reliability and maintenance improvements at a steel manufacturing facility in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a great opportunity for a recent engineering graduate with internship, co-op or early-career manufacturing experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigate mechanical equipment failures and recurring problems Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions Work with maintenance technicians and production teams Analyze equipment downtime and maintenance data Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs Assist with equipment inspections, repairs and improvement projects Help improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline 0-2 years of engineering experience Internship or co-op experience may count toward the experience requirement Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and manufacturing systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Comfortable working in an industrial environment and spending time on the plant floor
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing, maintenance or reliability internship/co-op Exposure to motors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pumps or rotating equipment Familiarity with root-cause analysis, preventive maintenance or CMMS systems
