Quality Engineer

Quality engineering role focused on first article inspection, root cause corrective action, audit support, and proactive quality strategy in a regulated manufacturing environment. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of relevant quality engineering experience First Article Inspection experience required Experience in aerospace, DoD, or another regulated industry required Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems Experience leading failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities Experience providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes Preferred Skills Six Sigma, Lean, and/or ASQ certifications Experience reviewing purchase orders, customer drawings, and corrective action requests Experience interfacing directly with customers Experience leading customer audits Experience presenting, reviewing, and/or approving changes through a formal Change Board Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management Experience translating system and contractual requirements into compliant product, assembly, and test documentation Experience with First Article Inspections to AS9102 standards Experience with Six Sigma, Process Certification, APQP, and PPAP Experience using 8D, 5 Whys, SPC, and other quality tools Experience leading cross-functional teams and forecasting progress toward program goals Experience analyzing and presenting data to leadership, customers, and peers Experience working with internal and external customers and personnel across multiple levels Job Responsibilities Develop partnerships with senior managers, integrated product teams, customers, and quality functions to implement proactive quality strategies Support program teams on quality, cost, and schedule performance through early engagement and quality planning Generate CORE and Cost of Poor Quality projects to reduce cost and improve efficiency Monitor and lead root cause corrective action activities Facilitate completion of internal and customer-required First Article Inspection reviews Participate in and prepare for customer, third-party regulatory, and internal audits Provide technical quality support for manufacturing and design processes Support compliance by translating system and contractual requirements into product, assembly, and test documentation Support risk mitigation and opportunity management activities Lead or support cross-functional quality initiatives across program teams
