You will be responsible for day-to-day support to plant staff in developing and maintaining quality objectives through continuous improvement and direct customer coordination. Paid vacation, paid holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, etc., Coordinate and lead in all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, including part warrants and related documents Coordinate all problem solving and improvement activities relating to customer concerns/issues Visit customers as necessary to resolve issues and coordinate continuous improvement Lead and train plant personnel in quality functions and disciplines Coordinate all products assigned SPC (Statistical Process Control) aspects Coordinate process audit analysis with quality department technician and analysts Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager Must be flexible and able to travel to visit customer assembly plants, suppliers and other Cooper Standard plants as required Quality Engineer Qualifications Four-year (4) college degree or two (2) year degree and 5 + years' experience with a strong growth pattern in a manufacturing environment. Possess a thorough grasp of manufacturing activities. Possess strong communications skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of hourly and management both inside and outside of the plant. Strong technical skills. Possess strong problem solving skills as well as statistical process control capability. Computer literate in applicable programs. Demonstrate knowledge in quality tools.
