Job Description

Overview Our client, a leading automotive tier-one supplier, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team in Athens, TN. The company has over 60 years of experience as a worldwide leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of components and systems in the automotive sector. Why work here? This role offers the opportunity to impact throughput, quality, cost, and overall plant performance in a visible way. Responsibilities The Quality Engineer will make sure products meet quality, safety and reliability standards set by the company as well as testing protocols, auditing manufacturing processes, and analyzing data. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Back up for Quality Manager as Customer and Supplier liaison for plant quality activities and concerns. Supports investigation of, root cause determination, corrective action implementation and response to Customer Complaints. Initial Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), work with Suppliers to resolve issues, escalating to Corp. Quality Engineer when necessary. Participates in the Product Development Process (PDP) to ensure Customer requirements are met. Reviews quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and tests, sequence of operations and work assignments. Establish and maintain all quality documents, samples, customer contact, supplier development, production start - up, product launch, and correction of production variances and warrant analysis. Adhere to applicable
IATF 16949, ISO 14001
requirements. Experience 3+ years manufacturing experience 2+ years plant automotive quality experience Experience with core quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans) Customer and/or supplier quality experience Root cause and corrective action experience Nice to have: Interior/soft trim/plastics experience Lean/Six Sigma experience If you are interested in learning more, please apply to this posting.
