This position requires someone with strong customer-facing experience who can successfully build relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers while effectively managing quality expectations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a solid understanding of automotive quality systems and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, addressing concerns and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues. Lead customer complaint investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies. Manage customer quality requirements and ensure compliance with OEM standards. Coordinate containment activities and corrective actions related to customer concerns. Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Lead and support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other quality system activities. Monitor key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customer teams to improve product quality and process performance. Support launch activities and ensure successful quality readiness for new programs. Analyze quality data and present findings to leadership and customers. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field. 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within automotive manufacturing. Strong customer-facing experience supporting OEMs or Tier 1 automotive customers. Experience leading customer issue resolution and corrective action activities.
Working knowledge of:
IATF 16949
Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans) Root Cause Analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.) Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Preferred Experience with customer portals and OEM-specific requirements. CQE certification or similar quality certification. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience in high-volume automotive production environments. What Makes the Ideal Candidate?
