This role is responsible for supporting and improving quality systems, inspection processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ISO quality systems, metrology, GD&T, root cause analysis, and manufacturing process improvement. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. Responsibilities Quality & Inspection Review and approve new and revised engineering drawings, DCNs, QCIPs, and related documentation Develop and maintain inspection plans for: Receiving inspection In-process inspection Final inspection Perform dimensional inspection and verification using precision measuring equipment Support and maintain inspection methodologies and quality standards throughout production Corrective Actions & Problem Solving Lead and facilitate the 8D Corrective Action process for both internal and customer-related issues Investigate customer complaints, product failures, and returned materials Conduct root cause analysis using: 8D A3 Fishbone Diagram 5-Why Fault Tree Analysis Generate reports and implement corrective/preventive actions Quality Systems & Compliance Support and maintain the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System Conduct internal audits and assist with audit readiness activities Participate in MRB (Material Review Board) activities and disposition of nonconforming material Assist in maintaining calibration systems in accordance with ANSI standards Develop and maintain SOPs / Work Bench Instructions (WBI) Metrology & Equipment Operate and support metrology and inspection equipment including: Calipers Micrometers Height gauges Angle blocks CMM equipment Helium leak testing equipment Recommend and support acquisition, installation, and training for quality-related equipment Assist Engineering with design of fixtures and testing equipment as needed Continuous Improvement Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma initiatives Support Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping activities Drive continuous improvement in quality systems, workflows, training, and manufacturing efficiency Additional Responsibilities Support weld test processes in partnership with Engineering and Production Assist other departments in achieving company goals and objectives Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field Experience working within an
ISO 9001
