Job Description

The Mechanic Lead provides technical leadership for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of drilling and support equipment. This role coordinates daily mechanical work activities, promotes safe work practices, mentors crew members, and ensures equipment reliability to support efficient field operations.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of oil and gas equipment and repair of engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, transmissions, and related components.
  • Plan and prioritize preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect equipment for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor mechanics and motorhands, providing technical guidance and training.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
  • Coordinate with operations personnel to support production objectives.
  • Promote and enforce company safety standards and environmental requirements.
