Quality Manager Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the adherence to quality requirements of customers, industry standards and AS9100 Manage the calibration system (monthly recall, impact assessments, quotes, purchase orders) Auditing for conformance to shop procedures, process requirements, product requirements Ensure implementation of customer and regulatory requirements Reviewing test results and other associated data Assist in internal and supplier corrective action along with implementation and effectiveness evaluation Review non-conformance reports (NCRs) for MRB processing Create and update quality metrics Provide training as required Participate and lead continuous improvement (Lean) activities within the quality organization and facility All other duties as assigned by
Quality Manager Basic Qualification:
4 year Engineering or Technical degree Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience 2+ years of Quality experience Proven proficiency with Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Capable of reading Blue Prints and interpreting OEM specifications Understanding of and to use basic hand measuring tools Proven root cause analysis experience (DMAIC process) Knowledge and experience in application of SPC Ability to read and understand precautions, safety, procedures, and other specifications as necessary to perform job function. Knowledge of SDS and handling chemicals Ability to work and communicate effectively within a team and other departments/personnel Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of experience working in Aerospace Quality Five (5) years of experience working in a NADCAP environment Understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP Trained internal auditor to AS9100 Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Ability to program CMM with Calypso software General knowledge of sheet metal and machining manufacturing General knowledge of metallurgy General knowledge of the tests associated with the applicable processes and how to interpret results General understanding of the quality system in use and able to coordinate and support the efforts of the Quality Manager.
Training Required:
Blue Print / Engineering Drawing Interpretation Standardization and Calibration Operation of the Applicable Test or Inspection Equipment Requirements Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
