Job Description

GLO Resources is currently hiring a Process Engineer to work in Houston, TX. The yearly salary is between $75k to $150k, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with potential for overtime and less than 10% local travel. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable fabrication company.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to work closely with fabrication, pricing, sales, and operations teams to improve material and labor utilization, maintain accurate fabrication standards, and develop efficient manufacturing processes. This role will support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process constraints, reducing costs and lead times, improving product quality, and implementing data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain fabrication cost models and update standard costs through time and material studies. Collaborate with pricing teams and fabrication shops to support major proposals and develop accurate project pricing. Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost. Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Research and develop new manufacturing methods to reduce lead times, material usage, and labor costs. Identify production capacity constraints and develop timely solutions. Manage and prioritize continuous improvement projects based on cost, benefit, and required effort. Facilitate events and other rapid process continuous improvement initiatives. Apply Lean Six Sigman and other manufacturing methodologies to measure control and improve process variability and efficiency. Develop and maintain quality control procedures, checklists, testing processes, and documentation. Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. Perform root cause analysis on defects and non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality. Document quality activities, prepare reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review. Use data and reporting tools to identify trends and support operational decision- making. Collaborate with equipment vendors, operators, and internal teams to identify and implement process improvements. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Experience in the fabrication or insulation industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience with 8D reporting and root cause analysis. Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, Oracle or SX.is a plus. Experience with Minitab and data analysis tools. Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design applications. Experience with modeling or simulation software such as Arena, MPX, or similar platforms is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with fabrication, pricing, sales, operations, and management teams. Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired but not required. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check. Valid driver's license is required when operating a company vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Climb ladders as needed. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
