Full-time position. The Operations Engineer, Mortgage & Lending will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated service systems for mortgage processing and consumer lending operations; improve productivity, quality, cost, and throughput by applying industrial engineering methods to workflows, staffing, layouts, standards, and controls; map end-to-end mortgage and lending workflows; plan and establish the optimal sequence of operations, handoffs, and controls to reduce cycle time and rework; develop labor utilization standards, production/service standards, and methods to promote efficient use of personnel, materials, and systems; analyze statistical data and service specifications to set quality objectives; coordinate quality control activities to minimize defects, including NIGO rates, and maximize reliability; direct or oversee workers engaged in measurement, inspection, and testing activities; evaluate the precision and accuracy of testing procedures and reports; recommend corrective actions; estimate production/service costs; model capacity and staffing requirements; assess cost impacts of process or design changes for management review, action, and control; review production schedules and forecasts; regulate and alter workflow schedules and queues according to lead times and constraints to expedite operations; record or oversee the recording of engineering changes, standard work, control plans, and production problems to ensure current documentation; complete production reports, purchase orders, and materials/equipment lists; apply sampling procedures and statistical techniques, including SPC, time studies, regression, and DOE, to determine process capability, staffing requirements, and production standards; draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace, including digital work centers and tool placement, to illustrate maximum efficiency; communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards; confer with clients, vendors, and staff regarding specifications, capabilities, and project status; define functional requirements, process controls, and acceptance criteria; partner with IT on system configuration, data flows, and UAT; coordinate with InfoSec on control objectives and compliance; recommend and implement methods to improve utilization of personnel, materials, and utilities; lead Kaizen/CI projects and post-implementation audits; present findings and recommendations to stakeholders; and schedule deliveries and vendor services based on forecasts, substitutions, and handling requirements to maintain service continuity.
Minimum requirement:
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
