: Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to manage and enhance quality documentation and processes related to new launch programs at our assembly plants. The ideal candidate will drive quality initiatives, ensure compliance with standards, and lead by example to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Launch, analyze, and manage quality documentation for new launch programs.
Assess new line quality controls and repeatability.
Determine and champion new control and monitoring methods to ensure first-time quality.
Monitor process capability and identify improvement opportunities.
Champion quality initiatives on the manufacturing floor.
Deliver on quality-related metrics, including non-quality cost, customer PPM, and new launch readiness.
Drive continuous improvement and systemic defect elimination initiatives.
Promote knowledge and application of standards.
Contribute to the reduction of TNQC.
Champion fundamental quality approaches such as PPAP, FMEA, IATF, VDA, Jidoka, and Zero Defect.
Lead by example and demonstrate client values and behaviors.
Define specific quality training requirements.
Evaluate team performance and identify growth opportunities.
Ensure fulfillment of customer-specific product quality requirements.
Report on quality performance indicators.
Enforce stable and in-control processes.
Maintain launch timelines to meet key dates.
Review reports, documentation, and customer concerns directly with customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree highly preferred, with relevant work experience.
Candidates with extensive QE experience without a degree will be considered.
Experience with the Production System or fast-paced production environments preferred.
Understanding of technical drawings, advanced problem-solving skills, and knowledge of mechanical systems.
Experience with production line processes and professional communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple critical projects simultaneously.
Experience in a manufacturing field is beneficial.
Quality certifications and 8D problem-solving experience are advantageous.
