Position Overview:
- As our Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of design, analysis, and prototyping activities for new nuclear systems through testing, documentation review, and oversight.
Location:
- On-site in Lynchburg, VA at the Advanced Technologies Office
- Your Day to Day as a
Quality Assurance Engineer:
- + Monitor design and analysis activities of new nuclear systems for compliance with customer, regulatory, and BWXT requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- + A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field is required.
NQA-1, ISO
9001, AS9100D, ASME, NCA-4000, or NASA requirements. + Must have demonstrated proficiency in generating technical reports and presentations using MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project. + Must be a U.S. citizen. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.Preferred Qualifications:
- + Knowledge of government regulations applied to quality assurance including 10 CFR50 App.
B, 10 CFR 830.120, DOE O
414.1 and 10 CFR 71 is desired. + Experience as NQA-1 orISO 9001/AS9100
auditor is desired. + Knowledge of inspection tools, systems, and techniques is desired. + Knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) of item, services and software is desired.What We Offer:
