Summary Delta Star Inc. is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Quality Engineer to provide essential quality engineering support for the manufacturing of medium voltage, mobile power transformers, and mobile substations. What You'll Do As a Quality Engineer, you'll lead technical problem-solving activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process. You'll serve as the go-to technical resource for the Quality Assurance team, supporting manufacturing operations and contributing to the success of our quality management system. A Day in the Life As a Quality Engineer, you'll champion quality improvement initiatives by conducting internal audits, implementing quality tools, and driving the resolution of product non-conformities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process performance, influence process owners, and foster a culture of quality excellence. Additionally, you'll support the Quality Assurance team with system updates, corrective actions, and hosting audits for both internal and external stakeholders. Specific Duties Lead technical problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct internal system and process audits, including random audits as needed, and prepare reports with follow-up actions. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to document, assign, and resolve product non-conformities. Improve detection of non-conformances through quality tools like Control Plans, FMEAs, and statistical methodologies. Implement metrics to measure process performance and use findings to prioritize audit strategies. Assist with Quality Management System activities, including updates, corrective actions, and customer/auditor interactions Train and mentor peers on quality processes and methodologies.
