Job Summary:
- The Quality Engineer I/II works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- + Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers + Collect and analyze production data to evaluate product quality + Conduct root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions + Stop production if serious product defects are present + Monitor quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency + Instruct others in quality control and analytical procedures + Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends + Review statistical studies, regulatory standards and trends in the field of quality control + Identify critical points in the Value Stream and specify sampling procedures + Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted + Support audits with Defense, Aerospace and Customer Auditors + Provide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as required + Review and approve quality document changes - Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviations + Any other task assigned by supervisor or management •
Minimum Qualifications:
- +
Experience:
0-4 years of Quality Engineering experience +Knowledge:
Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field +Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Full color acuity; Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in order to meet company standards and deadlines +Education/Certification:
BA or BS degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field +Eligibility Requirement:
- This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- FAA sensitive position - may be subject to a government security investigation to verify eligibility for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Experience in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting + ASQC Quality Engineer Certification
Working Conditions:
- + Standard office environment + Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail + Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment + Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE + May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes +
Standing:

Level I:
$- 80,600.00 - $97,600.00.
Level II:
$95,600.00 - $112,400.00.- Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
