The Reliability/Test Engineer's primary duties are to utilize engineering skills to contribute to the development and qualification of power tool products. The Reliability/Test Engineer will define the test methods and product requirements needed to develop durable, disruptive, and market-leading products. A successful candidate will bring curiosity, accountability, and strong experience in requirements definition, test development, validation, and data acquisition to the New Product Development team. • Duties and Responsibilities
• Product Development
• + Be a subject matter expert in the New Product Development team with respect to test methods, product requirements, user needs, and reliability + Develop Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements from collaboration with Product Management and participation in User Needs Research + Collaborate with Engineering and Marketing to define product specifications with respect to all aspects of reliability, quality, and user needs + Design experimental techniques to improve development and testing efforts + Interact with global suppliers that participate in product development + Track multiple projects simultaneously to ensure adherence to schedule and the Milwaukee Tool process •Testing and Analysis•+ Develop new test procedures and create test plans to evaluate product performance against user and product requirements + Effectively document test plans, procedures, and best practices for execution in test laboratories + Perform data analysis, post-processing, and visualization of test data + Summarize test results with statistical techniques and present concise, logical, written conclusions + Ensure timely failure reporting and drive root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventative actions (FRACA) •Job Requirements•+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field with 2-5 years of experience in similar product development, reliability, test, or quality roles + Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sound statistical application in areas such as Design of Experiments, sampling techniques, regression, reliability, FMEAs, hypothesis testing, etc.

+ Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, data analytics, and related software (e.g. Python, nCode Glyphworks, Dewesoft, LabVIEW) + Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, and statistical analysis, and related software (e.g. Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull++) + Experience in troubleshooting, fault detection, failure analysis, and automating tests/measurements and analysis + Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels with creative problem-solving capabilities + Ability to travel 10% (includes both domestic and international) _Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer._Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
