SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides daily quality-related engineering support to implement, maintain and support quality systems and to resolve customer and production quality issues. Assists the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer to coordinate corrective and preventive action activities, both internally and externally. Develops, controls, and monitors quality system to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements. Establishes, maintains, and continually improves the production process, products, and standards of Techniplas. Provides daily interaction with production floor, internal management, and external customers and or vendors.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures the Quality System is maintained to the
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Quality Standards. Maintains quality standards and quality procedures to satisfy company / customer requirements. Responsible for the corrective action system and the development of corrective actions using 8D, 5 why, and other problem-solving tools, as well as providing timely response to internal and external customers. Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of PPAP submissions to customers. Participates in
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Internal and External audits. Facilitates continual improvement activities. Facilitates the development of control plans and ongoing updates as required. Assists in the development and maintenance of PFMEA's and process flow diagrams. Supports Supplier Evaluation and Development activities as required. Works in conjunction with Project Engineers and Quality Engineers to support new project development, as needed. Provides recommendations for the disposition of nonconforming material. Provides general support of the entire Quality System according to established standards, customer and regulatory requirements. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES): Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of quality system experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in the automotive industry a plus. Plastics industry experience a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and follow-up skills. Strong attention to details. Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group. Computer skills should include basic word processing and spreadsheet skills. Must be willing to pursue further education as job requirements dictate. Occasional travel (<10%) is required.
