Secret with ability to obtain SAP Lead enterprise requirements management activities across a portfolio of aerospace and defense programs, ensuring technical rigor, traceability, and alignment between customer objectives and engineering execution. Drive disciplined requirements decomposition, baseline management, customer engagement, and verification planning while establishing best practices that support successful program delivery and long-term technical integrity.   • What you'll do Lead the decomposition of customer, mission, and system-level requirements into clear, actionable, and verifiable subsystem and component specifications.
Establish and maintain enterprise requirements management processes that ensure consistency across multiple programs and lifecycle phases. Manage complex requirements baselines, ensuring proper configuration control, traceability, and alignment with evolving customer needs. Conduct impact assessments and technical analyses for customer-driven requirement changes, identifying effects on cost, schedule, performance, risk, and system architecture. Serve as the primary interface between engineering teams and customers regarding requirements interpretation, clarification, negotiation, and implementation. Provide professional and technically grounded recommendations when customer requests introduce unnecessary scope growth, increased risk, or technical conflicts. Develop, maintain, and govern Requirements Verification Matrices (RVMs) and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) supporting program execution and compliance. Ensure end-to-end traceability between customer requirements, system architecture, subsystem allocations, verification methods, and delivered capabilities. Collaborate with systems engineers, design engineers, software teams, test organizations, and program leadership to maintain requirements integrity throughout development. Lead Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and support formal technical reviews to verify products meet documented requirements and performance expectations. Identify requirements gaps, conflicts, ambiguities, and verification challenges early in the program lifecycle to reduce technical and schedule risk. Mentor engineers and program teams on requirements development, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management best practices. Support proposal efforts, architecture development, design reviews, test planning, and customer milestone events by providing requirements management expertise. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline from an accredited institution. 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, or Technical Program Engineering supporting complex aerospace, defense, or advanced technology programs. Extensive experience leading requirements decomposition from high-level customer needs through subsystem and component-level specifications. Demonstrated experience managing large and complex requirements baselines throughout the engineering lifecycle. Extensive experience using Jama Connect for requirements management, traceability, configuration control, and lifecycle management. Experience conducting requirements impact assessments associated with customer-driven changes, technical modifications, and evolving mission needs. Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders regarding technical requirements and program impacts. Experience professionally negotiating requirements and protecting program scope, technical integrity, and contractual boundaries. Experience developing and maintaining Requirements Verification Matrices (RVMs) and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs). Experience planning, conducting, or supporting Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and formal verification activities. Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes including requirements management, verification, validation, configuration management, and risk management. Ability to lead cross-functional teams within highly collaborative engineering environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler to support requirements allocation, architecture development, and traceability activities. Expert-level knowledge of requirements engineering methodologies and industry best practices. Experience supporting aerospace, space, missile defense, autonomous systems, or other highly complex defense programs. Experience integrating requirements management workflows with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments. Knowledge of SysML, digital engineering methodologies, and model-centric development practices. Experience supporting customer technical reviews, milestone reviews, verification events, and formal audits. Experience implementing enterprise requirements management processes across multiple programs or business units. Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition programs and associated engineering review processes. Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or another relevant technical discipline. INCOSE certifications or advanced training in Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, or Digital Engineering disciplines. Who is Caribou Thunder?
