Job Description
Location:
Lexington, MA Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Job Responsibilities:
Develop, flow down, and track system requirements Support system architecture development and interface definition Develop and maintain SysML MBSE models Plan and lead system verification and validation activities Perform systems engineering trade studies and risk assessments Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies Support integration activities for hardware and software systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across programs Produce technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation Support system lifecycle activities including design, testing, and deploymentSkills:
Systems Engineering Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) SysML Modeling System Architecture and Interface Definition Verification and Validation (V&V)Requirements Management and Traceability Risk Assessment and Mitigation Hardware and Software Integration Technical Planning and Trade Studies Aerospace and Defense Systems Engineering Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aero/Astro Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field Minimum 7 years of systems engineering experience supporting space or airborne systems Experience supporting full systems engineering lifecycle activities across multiple programsSimilar remote jobs
