  • Mission Technology is looking for a qualified Journeyman Avionics Engineer with Computer Systems Software Airworthiness experience to support a position located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
TS/SCI clearance is required. #LI-JA1 Essential Job Responsibilities Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02. Assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by
AFMCI 63-1201.
Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs Support requirements development, allocation, and verification Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested. Minimum Qualifications 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. Minimum of 10 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering. Two (2) of these years must be in a special access DoD acquisition program as a sub-system lead Minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD Avionics experience plus 5 additional years in Engineering Knowledge and experience in designing, developing, integrating and testing Computer Systems & Software, to ensure adequate performance, safety, integrity, and airworthiness. Experience assessing hardware, software, and systems are qualified to meet airworthiness criteria, especially criteria in MIL-HBK-516, section 15. Active TS/SCI Preferred Requirements Technical experience desired in the areas of: Software and computer system architectures; Software and systems integration processes; Fault tolerance, redundancy management, and high integrity design techniques; Computer system hardware and software criticality identification; Safety Critical Function (SCF) thread analysis; Verification techniques for software, hardware and system integration, developing/maintaining System Integration Laboratory (SIL) facilities with high fidelity test capabilities to V&V software and hardware; System integration verification coverage; Operational Flight Program (OFP) build, load, and flight release process; and the functional compatibility of all software and hardware.
