Full Job Description Job Description & Skill Requirement:
We are seeking a hands-on Validation & Verification Engineer to support testing and validation of embedded electrical and power management products. The role involves hardware, firmware, system-level validation, test automation, compliance testing, and defect analysis in a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and test procedures Perform hardware, firmware, and system-level testing. Conduct black-box and white-box testing. Develop and maintain Python-based test automation. Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and communication issues. Perform root cause analysis and defect verification. Support product compliance and functional safety testing. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams.
Required Skills:
Hardware Schematic-level understanding of: o Analog circuits. o Digital circuits. o Power systems.
Experience using:
o Digital Multimeters (DMM). o Oscilloscopes. o Logic Analyzers. o Waveform/Function Generators.
Firmware & Software Testing :
Python programming. C/C++ knowledge. Experience with debuggers. Understanding of software architecture. Black-box and White-box testing. Test framework development. Test plan creation and execution. Knowledge of UL standards. Functional Safety testing. Compliance-driven testing environments.
Communication Protocols :
TCP/IP. Modbus.
I2C. SPI. SCI/UART.
Bluetooth. Zigbee. Wi-Fi.
System Skills :
Hardware troubleshooting. System integration testing. Root cause analysis. Requirement-based test development. Nice-to-Have Protection Curves. Rogowski Coils. Current Transformers (CT). GOOSE Communication. Automatic Transfer Systems (ATS). Circuit breakers and protection products experience.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
4-5 years of experience in embedded systems testing, product validation, or V&V engineering. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently in a lab environment. Experience with power management, electrical protection, or industrial control products is highly desirable.
